The Roll of Honour of the Royal Honours of Jaffna
In the 13th century during the reign of the Arya Cakravartti, Kings of Jaffna, bestowed Titles, Honours, Swords, Shields, Gold Necklaces, Gold Chains and Grants of Land engraved on slabs and copper plates.
The Royal Orders of Jaffna are bestowed by HRH Raja Remigius Kanagarajah, the Head of the Royal Family of Jaffna. The brevets are signed by the Grand Master HRH Raja Remigius Kanagarajah and the Grand Chancellor HE Philip B. Eagleton of the Royal House of Jaffna.
As of December 2007 there are among the distinguished persons who have received the Royal Honours of Jaffna, royalty, diplomats, academics, philanthropists, educators, medical professionals and others prominent in the Arts and Culture.
