SATTANATHAR TEMPLE

Cinkai Ariyan Cekaracacekaran (I) ordered his Chief Minister Puvanekavaku, to build Hindu Temples in the four directions around the city for divine protection. The Hindu Temples were erected beside the four main gateways of the Nallur Rajadhani, “Sattanathar Kovil”, “Thaiyalnayaki Amman Kovil” and “Salai Vinayagar Kovil” was on the North side.
