THE DISTRICT FLAG OF JAFFNA

The Yazh (Lyre) flag of the Kingdom of Jaffna was used by the Kings of Jaffna earlier than 12th century. In the centre of the flag is a yellow Yazh on a brown background with four yellow conch shells, one in each corner.
