THAI PONGAL MESSAGE ISSUED BY

H.R.H. PRINCE REMIGIUS KANAGARAJAH

The Thai Pongal which falls on the first day of the month of Thai and it is a four days long harvest festival celebrated by the Tamils across the world. It is a thanks giving ceremony in which the farmers celebrate the event to thank the spirits of nature spirit, the Sun and the farm animals for their assistance in providing a successful harvest.

On the occasion of the Thai Pongal Festival I extend my warmest best wish to all the Tamil People around the world, may this Thai Pongal bring peace, prosperity and happiness now and throughout the year.
