Rajadhani Nilayam Urgent Press Release
Friday 15 July 2011
Arya Cakravarti Dynasty
THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS ISSUED BY
H.R.H. PRINCE REMIGIUS KANAGARAJAH OF JAFFNA
This morning I had a telephone discussion with the Municipal Commissioner of Jaffna Mr. M. S. Saravanabavan regarding the King Cinkai Arya Cakravarti Cankili Cekaracacekaran statue. The statue has been damaged repeatedly during the war and the Municipal Council of Jaffna has undertaken to do some repairs. However, the engineers engaged for the works evaluated that it is no longer possible to carry out repairs on the same old statue, therefore a new statue will be made by sculptors from India. At the present, the statue features the King holding a drawn sword and in the envisaged new statue the King will be holding a sword in a pointing position. The construction work has already started and it will be completed very soon and then everyone will be able to admire the new statue of King Cinkai Arya Cakravarti Cankili Cekaracacekaran.
