It is with great sadness that I learnt of the death of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Rama IX of the Kingdom of Thailand.

On behalf of the Royal Family of Jaffna and myself, I extend our deepest condolences to Your Majesty, to the Royal Family and the government and to the people of the Kingdom of Thailand at this sad time.
