On the 15th August HRH the Raja of Jaffna underwent urgent surgery after CT scan report for his Ankle fracture, which was conducted under general anaesthetic. Two weeks later due to surgical site infection the condition was life-threatening and the Raja underwent few surgeries.

HRH the Raja of Jaffna thanked the surgeons, the team of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals for the tremendous care and treatment he received during the past months. The Raja also thanked his family, friends, relatives and various religious leaders for all their support, words of comfort, good wishes and prayers and for performing religious ceremonies. HRH the Raja also thanked the Physiotherapist for helping during the rehabilitation process.
