A speech by The Raja of Jaffna, Side Event at the United Nations during the 40th Session, 2030 Agenda and Human Rights Room XXVII, Palais de Nations, Geneva
Distinguished Participants,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
It’s a great honour for me to be here today,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself Raja Remigius Kanagarajah of the Arya Cakravartti Dynasty and the present Head of the Royal Family of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.
There can be no justice without peace and there can be no Peace without Justice.
Justice consists no in being neutral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it. Justice is taken to mean improving and implementing laws. Every human being on the planet has the right to live in peace. This is the most basic human right.
Introducing a peace proposal to a country from a third party should not disturb its sovereignty. We have to learn respect its people’s decision. In order to achieve sustainable peace around the world we have to work together.
Therefore I urge all the people around the world to come forward and join hands to build peace for the happiness of whole world working together by bringing people and organizations together from all levels of society, providing them a platform and opportunities to make a positive difference for peace is important.
If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy.
Let there be justice for all.
Let there be peace and unity for all.
I wish all the people around the world peace and may God bless you all.
Thank you.
