On 14 August 2019, an article was published in the Valampurii Tamil newspaper about the surviving section of the Royal Palace and the land which the structure called “Manthiri Manai” stands.

This morning HRH the Raja of Jaffna had a telephone discussion with the Divisional Secretary - Nallur, Mrs. Elilarasi Anton Yoganayagam, regarding the "Manthiri Manai" and about the Land.
