The following statement is issued from "Rajadhani Nilayam".

I would like to take this opportunity to bring to the notice of all that as of the 15th of June 2005, by the majority acclaim of representative members of the Royal Family of Jaffna, I Raja Remigius Kanagarajah have taken the responsibility as Head of the Royal House of Jaffna.

I will undertake all responsibilities and duties as Head of the Royal House of Jaffna. I promise to strive to bring peace among the Sri Lanka people.

I thank all those who have given me support so far and I look forward to gaining more support and strength in carrying out my duties.
